T C Morris Ltd, an award-winning Black Country pork pie manufacturer with roots dating back to the 1930s, has secured funding to support its next stage of growth with the assistance of Central Business Finance.

Originally a butchery business in Willenhall, the company has evolved through generations of the Morris family, now led by Charlotte Tennant, granddaughter of founder Thomas Morris. From its wartime beginnings through to food manufacturing in the 1960s and a focus on pork pies from the 1990s, the business continues to innovate while maintaining its traditional heritage. It has recently relocated to larger premises in Dudley and now employs over 50 staff, many of whom have been with the business for decades.

The multi-million-pound turnover manufacturer produces over £4.5 million of pork pies annually, supplying customers across the UK, including Midland Chilled Foods and Central Supplies.

To support future expansion, Central Business Finance arranged a funding package comprising a six-figure grant and asset finance, enabling investment in state-of-the-art ovens and packaging equipment. This will help future-proof production, increase efficiency and support continued growth.

Charlotte Tennant commented on the importance of continuing the family legacy while investing in innovation, with the support helping secure long-term employment and strengthen the business for the future.
